Quick Takes Town Council March 17, 2023

  • Reallocated $90,000 in ARPA funds to enhance community services in 2026 - Part-time Human Services Coordinator, Grant Writer/Administrator & Farmer’s Market Coordinator, plus funds for Summer Camp Scholarships and Senior/Community Programing/Events.

  • Discussed potential changes to have Town Hall be open more hours - 8:30 am - 6:00 pm one day, and 8:30 am - 4:30 pm three days. To do so, lunches shortened to half hour and closing Town Hall on Fridays. Administrator to survey staff for input.

  • Appointed members to 250th Commission and Wellness Committee. Rescinded resolution creating Richmond Energy Savings Task Force.

  • Accepted invitation from Charlestown Town Council to revive Tri-Town Council Sub-committee working group consisting of representatives from Town Councils of Charlestown, Richmond & Hopkinton to discuss issues of common concern and opportunities for collaboration. All meetings would be subject to the requirements of the Open Meetings Act.
